"Green", oil on canvas, 18"x24"

I ended up pulling some tube greens out of my drawer for the bottle. I just was unable to mix that bright, intense green. I think I mainly used Phtalo emerald, which I don't even remember buying. Also cadmium green, which I used a little in the limes.

Very nice painting! I love the way you painted the bowl of limes. The shadows are luminous- what kind of lighting do you use?

Thanks, Taryn! My studio has overhead, in the ceiling lights, and I put a spotlight on the setup. The bulb in the lamp now is a Phillips "Director" 75W. I close the shades so the sun doesn't come in. I'd like to try natural light on my still life, but the direction of my windows (west) causes it to change too much during the day.
